K-Readiness

The Kindergarten Readiness program at Ivy Tree Preschool aims to provide developmentally appropriate activities to enhance each child’s intellectual, language, social-emotional, academic, and physical development. The program’s goal is to prepare children to enter kindergarten with the skills needed to be successful.

We follow an interactive curriculum that teaches through exploration and hands-on activities with a variety of manipulatives. We use the common core state standards to guide our teaching with a child-led approach. Your child’s day will be enriched with complex play, early reading and writing through a variety of methods, and problem-solving. Our structured curriculum is flexible and is modified to meet any child’s needs and interests. Lessons are given in a variety of formats including full class (up to 10 students), small group, and 1:1. Children thrive in a small group setting with quality instruction that is geared toward their learning style.

Your child’s day will be filled with colorful visuals, music, art, cooking, dancing & singing, and outdoor play.

Preschool

Ivy Tree Preschool believes the best approach to learning is through actively engaging with their environment. Our teachers provide a vibrant learning environment that nurtures curiosity and builds on your child’s strengths through hands-on learning. Each day is filled with singing, dancing, art, stories, dramatic play, and gross/fine motor activities. Language and literacy are interconnected and supported through listening, talking, reading, and writing. In order to develop self-esteem and social competence, students are encouraged to help themselves, take initiative, and become increasingly independent. Your child will develop the ability to empathize and interact successfully with their peer group and relate easily to adults. Children are provided with all of the support and empowerment needed in order to thrive.

Toddlers & Infants

Our infant and toddler program at Ivy Tree Preschool is dedicated to stimulating intellectual growth with the highest quality care. Language and literacy will be supported with opportunities throughout the day to explore, build, and create using a variety of interesting materials. Verbal and non-verbal communication skills are developed through singing, finger plays, reading, and sensory play. Social and emotional skills are developed through complex play and teacher-directed peer interactions. We understand that choosing a childcare program that you can trust is the most important decision you will ever make. As an affiliate of The Center for Growth & Development, our childcare program was originally created to provide the highest quality care to the children of behavior analysts, teachers, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists. As a result, we have gained highly trained caregivers that have years of experience creating a fun, loving, and safe environment your young child will love.
